Have you been to several FEJS events in the past, but are not anymore a student, or currently working full time? The FEJS will celebrate it’s 25th anniversary this year at the Annual Congress in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from the 6th to the 11th of April. We are looking for old FEJSers who want to come and celebrate and share experiences from past events and happenings with the new FEJSers that will attend the AC. If you are interested in coming to Ljubljana to meet up with old friends from all over Europe, take a look at the Slovenian site for the Annual Congress.

The application deadline is the 15th of February.

We are proud to announce that the FEJS 2010 Annual Congress will be held in the city of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Journalism students and young journalists from all over Europe are invited to join us from the 06-11 of April 2010 in a congress which will focus on the topic of Global Journalism. Participants this year will also have the opportunity to experience the special events in store for the 25th anniversary of the FEJS!

Would you like to join us for an unfamiliar experience, namely, the next Task Force Meeting taking place in Bulgaria?

Where: The small student town of Blagoevgrad welcomes you for two days and three nights of tiring discussions and moderate, almost-Greece-like weather.

Dates: Between the 12^th and the 15^th of February, 2010.

Subject: Discussions about FEJS Finances (Solidarity Fund Policies, the FEJS membership fees)

Participation Fee: 75 Euro which will cover the accommodation and meals during your stay in Blagoevgrad.

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in the upcoming General Assembly (GA) of 2009 that will take place in Ede in the Netherlands from the 29^th of October to the 2^nd of November!

We, the Supervisory Board (SB) and Secretariat (SEC), along with the Organising Committee (OC) of the Netherlands team are excited to be preparing this particular meeting, for it is of great importance for the future of FEJS.

Unfortunately there will be no visits to coffee places *wink* but we promise parties and alcohol after every day of hard work during the workshops J

What you need to know:

At this GA the FEJS bodies will present the plans for the future of FEJS, in order to make it an NPO (as promised in the GA of 2008 in Ghent), the election of 5 new Supervisory Board members from different countries, the election of a new Secretariat from one country and to vote upon various matters concerning FEJS that will be discussed in workshops during the GA in Ede.

The participation fee is 120 €. Please note that you are required to pay 20 € in advance in order to secure your place once accepted at the GA. You will receive more haspsoftware information in the confirmation letter.

TASK FORCE MEETING – Barcelona

Get prepared to live the sunniest and hottest TFM ever!

From the 24th to the 27th of July, SB and Sec are waiting for you in beautiful Barcelona! The beach, the palm trees, the best soccer team in the world, it will all be there - but don’t forget we will be there to mainly prepare the GA 2009 in the Netherlands in the first place!

To do this in the best circumstances, we can only accept 20 participants, so hurry up to apply! Hasta pronto en Barcelona…

Participation fee is 95 euros and includes:
- 3 nights (24, 25, and 26 july 09) in Youth Hostel in the city centre, 10 minutes walking from the beach!
- 3 meals a day and snacks and drinks during breaks
- Meeting room

The 11th edition of Magdalena Festival will take place in Maribor, Slovenia, between May 21 and 23. Besides the exhibition of creative solutions, registered to the festival competition, the venues in Maribor will, the same as last year, host exhibitions of design students from European academies, as well as VJ workshop and traditional audio-visual evening events. For 11th Magdalena and for the first time in Slovenia, they are preparing a solo exhibition of a world famous designer Mirko Ilić.

The main goal of the festival awards is to seek, present and award the most creative ideas in the field of public communication, created by young authors.

The competition for the festival awards - Golden & Silver Bras and the big Magdalena award - is open to individuals of 30 years or less. An international jury selects group winners, awarded with Golden Bras, and the overall (Magdalena prize) winner based on the most creative idea. Entry fees are symbolical so that the competition is accessible to most young people all over the world.

In November 2008, FEJS-Macedonia launched the international web portal www.mladiinfo.com, Mladi Info is a new portal aiming in one place to group all studying possibilities, scholarships, grants, trainings and conferences, various calls, working and internship opportunities.

Mladi Info is an informative web portal, created for all ambitious young people that desire to continue their education and to improve themselves in different areas at the universities and institutions all around the world. The main reason for launching the web portal by the end of 2008 was mostly the lack of information focused on the young people in Macedonia.

The idea is to help young people to accomplish their goals as well as to complete their education. That would be a unique and useful media consisted of useful advices, tips and hints. Moreover, this is a place where people can post their adds, where students can find an available apartment to rent, or to buy a computer.

http://www.mladiinfo.com goal is to help and assist young people all around the World, which is why the portal is in English.
